The role involves providing clinical support and leadership within the Speech and Language Therapy Team, specifically focusing on children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

The Speech & Language Therapist Lead will:

Supervise and mentor less experienced therapists, providing guidance and training.
Develop and support therapy pathways within the Autism Diagnostic service.
Conduct specialist assessments and communicate findings with the multidisciplinary team.
Engage in clinical work with individuals and groups, using autism-specific approaches.
Lead post-diagnostic workshops and provide recommendations to parents and teachers.
Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to practice development and research.Package and Benefits:

A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health Professions Council.
At least 3 years of post-registration experience, particularly with autism and complex needs.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.If you have experience as a Speech Therapist, Language Therapist, Communication Specialist, Autism Specialist, or Therapy Lead, you might find this role particularly rewarding.
