Position Title: Regulatory Specialist
Location: 100% Remote (EST or CST first shift hours)
Pay Rate: $36/hour (W2)
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Possible Extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 40 per week, 8 per day (Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Regulatory Specialist with expertise in compliance and the wireless communications industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with federal and state regulations regarding tower site height and lighting, environmental compliance, and backlog/delay management. This role involves reviewing scopes of work and drawings, preparing FCC/FAA applications, and ensuring full regulatory compliance for tower-related projects.
Key Responsibilities

Review proposed scopes of work (modifications, collocations, new easements) and determine required regulatory assessments or filings.

Prepare and file FCC/FAA applications and supporting documentation for tower erection, modifications, and antenna installations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Coordinate and maintain communication with FCC, FAA, and relevant agencies for timely application processing.

Maintain accurate and organized regulatory approvals and documentation.

Review and approve/disapprove Regulatory Notice to Proceed (RNTP) for tower sites.

Research and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding site regulatory information.

Interpret and apply FAA, FCC, and NEPA guidelines in project evaluations.

Conduct due diligence reviews for acquisitions and investigate alleged compliance violations.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 2 years in regulatory compliance.

Knowledge of wireless communications industry regulations.

Familiarity with FAA Forms 7460-1 and -2, FCC Form 854, and related state DOT applications.

Experience in NEPA review and pre-construction permitting processes.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic regulatory filing systems.
Preferred Skills

Knowledge of government administrative procedures.

Experience reviewing site surveys, U.S.G.S. quad maps, and other technical support documents.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance.
