Veterinarian

Veterinarians needed. Victoria £50k – £60k plus monthly bonuses. Build a career you’re proud of, and a lifestyle you love.

If you’ve ever dreamed of swapping grey skies for golden beaches, this might be the moment. This could be your chance to work with a dedicated team combining clinical excellence with a lifestyle most people only ever take a holiday to enjoy.

This independent has three established clinics (Highton, Geelong West, and Lara) and a team of over 60 people. Directors James and Jane are practising vets themselves, so leadership here isn’t from behind a desk.

They work shoulder-to-shoulder with the team, supporting growth and driving innovation while staying rooted in the values that matter: compassion, expertise, integrity, teamwork, and community.

The role itself is built with balance in mind. Full-time vets work a 38-hour week, typically spread over four shifts, with an occasional five-shift week if your rota includes a weekend. There’s no afterhours, emergencies go to dedicated centres, so when you clock off, your time really is your own.

Whether that means exploring the Great Ocean Road, surfing at Bells Beach, hiking the You Yangs, or enjoying a flat white in Geelong’s buzzing café scene, the choice is yours.

They welcome both new graduates and experienced vets. New grads are supported through a structured mentorship program, while experienced vets are encouraged to take ownership of cases, lead in surgery or medicine, and mentor others.

With digital X-ray and dental X-ray across all hospitals, ultrasound, IDEXX labs, and high surgical and dentistry caseloads, there’s plenty of opportunity to grow and specialise in your areas of interest.

What’s in it for you?

* Competitive salary packages starting from £50k, rising to £60k with monthly bonus structures in place

* And if you’re a whizz with complex surgeries like orthopedics like TPLO’s BOAS surgeries etc your salary will even get you more money to spend in Australia!

* Superannuation at 12% on top of salary (similar to a UK pension).

* Generous CPD allowance and study leave, plus professional memberships and registration fees covered.

* Four weeks’ annual leave, access to 13 public holidays, and the option of extended unpaid leave if you want time to travel.

Geelong itself is one of Australia’s fastest growing regional cities, just an hour from Melbourne, with excellent schools, shops, and healthcare. It’s a friendly, family oriented community where coastal and urban living meet.

If you’re coming from the UK, you’ll be in good company, they already have three UK vets thriving there, all extending their visas and loving both the work and the lifestyle. They will support your move, sponsor your visa, and make the transition as smooth as possible.

So, what’s next?

If you’re ready for blue horizons, a team that feels like family, and a career that’s more adventure than routine, we’d love to hear from you.

Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.

Enjoy your new vet career down under, surfboard optional, stethoscope essential

£50000 – £60000/annum CPD, All fees paid for, Bonus
