* Support and advise staff on communication strategies and embed SaLT approaches across the curriculum.

* Develop and implement speech, language and communication plans in collaboration with teaching staff and other therapists.

* Provide in-class support to model and reinforce therapeutic communication techniques.

* Monitor, evaluate and report on pupils’ progress using standardised and non-standardised assessment tools.

* Offer training and coaching for school staff on communication, language development and related strategies.

* Support pupils during transitions or reintegration phases, including developing social stories, visual supports, and communication aids.

* Maintain up-to-date and confidential records in line with professional and statutory guidelines.

Person Specification:
Essential:

* Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with HCPC and RCSLT.

* Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other SEND.

* Ability to create and deliver engaging therapy programmes for a range of communication needs.

* Confident in writing reports and managing caseloads effectively.

* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities.

* Flexible, resilient, and proactive approach.
