Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with a proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II to support Healthcare Technology service for Swedish Hospital part of Endeavor Health located in Chicago, IL.
****A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.****
What You'll Do:
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments- primarily OR.
- Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care.
- Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solutions.
- Solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints.
- Prepare required documentation and reports.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and demonstrate a safety mindset.
- Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service.

What You Bring:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices independently.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
- Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
- Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices- ESU’s, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, AD’s, Telemetry, EKG, IV Infusion Pumps, Patent Monitoring Systems, plus OR, Anesthesia- Draeger Strongly preferred, and Ventilators (not all are required). Will provide OEM training as well.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirement – Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Minimum Functional Experience – 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
