Practice Nurse – Plymouth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice located in the vibrant coastal city of Plymouth. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a supportive, well-established primary care team that’s passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare.

Working alongside GPs, ANPs, pharmacists, HCAs, and a skilled administrative team, you’ll play a key role in providing a full range of nursing services to the local community. The practice places a strong emphasis on teamwork, professional development, and maintaining an excellent work–life balance.

The Role:
As a Practice Nurse, you’ll provide a wide range of nursing services including chronic disease management, immunisations, cervical cytology, wound care, health promotion, and routine treatment room duties. You’ll be supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team and encouraged to develop your skills further through ongoing training and CPD opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension)
• Routine treatment room duties – dressings, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, phlebotomy
• Immunisations and vaccinations (childhood, travel, and seasonal)
• Cervical cytology screening (if qualified)
• Health promotion, lifestyle advice, and patient education
• Supporting the wider clinical team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

• Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience + NHS pension + benefits
• Start Date: Flexible
