JOB SUMMARY
Quality Control Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bill Rate not to exceed $36.00/hour

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Candidate will need to be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Purpose

Conduct tests to determine quality of raw materials, bulk intermediate, and finished products.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

Inspect and verify incoming raw material and products to specifications

Maintain and update incoming inspection files, procedures, and related required documentation.

Determine proper product configuration and performance using engineering instructions such as product prints.

Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Complete dispositions, documents, and reports for purchasing and quality engineers on nonconforming materials.

Support internal and external audits.

Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence or nonconforming product.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilties.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Associates Degree and a minimum of two (2) years related quality experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

DESIRED

ASQ certified Quality Inspector a plus

Able to read engineering prints and record results and make decisions whether a specification has been met

Ability to use tools such as calipers and electrical meters to measure dimensions

Solid computer skills in the basic office suite programs

Comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere and detail oriented

Comfortable using a pallet jack and ability to lift 25- 50 lbs.

Maintain/Calibrate hand tools and fixtures for production

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment

Pay Rate Range: $25-27/hour

Bill Rate not to exceed 44% – $36-$38.88/hour

Hours: night shift from 3pm to 11pm

Steel toe boots and safety glasses are reqiured

Purpose

The NDT Technician will be required to comprehend specifications to determine testing/inspection procedures and equipment to be used. The candidate must be able to set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests using the relevant NDT equipment, compare results with specifications/acceptance criteria and record test/inspection data, confer with other NDT or QC technicians and production personnel. Ability to work with minimal instruction and supervision.

Location

Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

  • Work as a team member when performing or witnessing inspection and/or testing for internal and external customers, third parties, customer's inspectors, and engineering/manufacturing representatives.
  • Ability to read drawings, comprehend specifications and tolerances, compare results with specifications and record test data, confer with engineers, technicians, and production personnel as necessary (Interpret inspection results).
  • Demonstrate advanced ability to perform NDT and visual verifications of fabricated and machined parts to acceptance criteria.
  • Receives little guidance, successfully completes tasks as requested and can usually perform the skill independently.
  • Liaise with suppliers as required to ensure good product, documentation and service quality is maintained.
  • Displays ability to make routine decisions on equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Gives technical guidance to junior NDT technicians as required.
  • Assist in training and developing others within the team.
  • Competent in the tasks related to NDT procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to area of responsibility.
  • May be utilized as subject matter expert in NDT.
  • Displays advanced professional communication and interpersonal skills when exchanging information with peers and supervisors.
  • Often serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems.
  • Begins to identify problems independently and solves them under supervision.
  • Assist in developing and modifying existing procedures and, work instructions as required.
  • Ensure in date calibrated measuring equipment is used for performing inspection.
  • Problems and issues faced are routine and may include advanced technical troubleshooting and/or problem solving within the NDT field.
  • May assist senior technicians with workflow documentation.
  • May assist QC Inspectors with other activities.
  • Support the customer satisfaction and loyalty processes.
  • Support the organization's drive towards excellence in Health and Safety performance.
  • Support includes but is not limited to participating in STOP observations, reporting HSE observations, attending HSE related meetings, supporting HSE improvement projects and any other related task deemed appropriate by the Manager.
  • Ability to work night shift starting at 3:00 PM.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

This position will report to the Quality Manager.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 2 years combined NDT experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Texas State Industrial Radiographer Certification or ASNT IRRSP.
  • Certified or certifiable in line with ASNT-TC-1A Level II in RT and PT.
  • Basic working knowledge of Digital and Computerized radiographic techniques.

DESIRED

  • ASNT-SNT- TC1A certifiable in the following methods: UT & MT.
  • Certified Weld Inspector Status (CWI).
  • Extensive knowledge and documented training in DR.
  • ACCP Level II in one or more of the following methods: UT, MT, PT, RT, VT.
  • ASNT Level III in one or more of the following methods: UT, MT, PT, RT, VT.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ASME & ASTM standards, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work with minimal instruction and supervision.

Working Conditions

This position is considered SHOP WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Generally, work performed indoors (70%) and occasional outdoors (30%). Hours of work depend on shift assigned.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends if needed
  • Occasional exposure to radiation, airborne dust, and loud noise in the workplace
  • Work surface is stable (flat)
  • Requires a great deal of manual dexterity, such as working with measuring and testing equipment, marking and hand/power tools.

Job Title: Sr Technologist II, System Engineer

Purpose

The Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer Contract-to-Hire role will involve installation, configuration, and daily maintenance of Oceaneering's identity management systems, server operating systems, server virtualization platforms, and other tools associated with infrastructure operations. This role works independently with minimal supervision and will also contribute heavily on IT projects, as well as manage their own projects.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

  • Identity and Access Management (on-prem AD, Entra AD, MIM)
  • Automation and scripting using PowerShell and other tools like Orchestrator or Ansible
  • M365 and Azure Administration (Exchange, Entra AD, OneDrive)
  • Analyze system log files and determine appropriate courses of action
  • Windows Server Operating systems management on a global scale
  • Participate in on-call rotation and/or after-hours support
  • Assist communications, business systems, and desktop support groups with troubleshooting issues
  • Troubleshoot issues at a Tier 3 level
  • Create support documentation and assist with training other members of the department

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience with Windows Active Directory
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience with scripting and automation tools (Powershell, Ansible, Orchestrator, etc.)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience using system events, logs, and other tools for troubleshooting, trend analysis, and reporting
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience with Identity management systems (MIM, Sailpoint, Net IQ, Okta)
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience with vSphere or Azure hypervisors in a large, multi-site environment
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience with data gathering and data structures (XML, JSON, YAML, WQL, etc.)

DESIRED

  • Experience with Messaging administration and Archiving (Exchange Online, On-prem SMTP, Mimecast)

The Technologist II, Client Services will be responsible for providing IT support to all local and remote employees of the Chesapeake division, as well as to other divisions with the organization as needed.

Functions

  • Set up, image, configure and maintain company desktops, laptops and mobile devices including conference room equipment.
  • Maintain access control of CUI/ITAR data.
  • Help business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency.
  • Provide end-user support for all computer related applications.
  • Configure, test and troubleshoot network connectivity for local and remote computers.
  • Manage user account information and permissions.
  • Prioritize and respond to IT support tickets within SLA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate hardware inventory.

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in maintaining computer hardware/software and working in a customer-oriented service environment,
  • Have knowledge of: Computer imaging, Active Directory, Novell, Microsoft Office Suite, O365, Google Apps, videoconferencing equipment and applications, PeopleSoft, Enovia, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Valid U.S. drivers ' license
  • Must be a US citizen or have Legal Permanent Resident card (green card)
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense security clearance.
