Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: St Petersburg, FL
Pay Range: $24.20-25.30
Shift: 2nd shift 1:45pm-10pm or 3rd shift 9:45pm-6am
What's the Job?
- Perform functional quality tests on materials accurately, efficiently, and within specified timeframes.
- Record and report inspection results, failure analysis, material discrepancies, and defect data using SAP and other databases.
- Conduct detailed visual inspections to assess product quality where limits may not be clearly defined.
- Coordinate with production line technicians and supervisors when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or nonconformances are identified.
- Make recommendations regarding the disposition of questionable products and support root cause failure analysis.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s Degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of quality inspection practices, techniques, and use of handheld gages.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
