Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Scientist. The ideal candidate will be a key leader and contributor in the data and software development life cycle, working within high-security environments. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and supporting architects and engineers in building agile applications and platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
(Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)
- Applicants must be able to work directly for our company on W2.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field with extensive experience in software development and delivery.
- 7+ years Deep hands-on experience with Databricks and Python.
- 7+ years Expertise in Spark and SQL, including writing performant Spark SQL and PySpark transformations.
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming pipelines.
- Proficient in both Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Workflows.
- Strong grasp of cloud-based database infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
(Nice-to-have skills but are not required)
- Understanding of Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines.
- Experience using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) for deployment.
- Proven track record using dbt for building robust, testable data transformation workflows following TDD.
- Skilled in developing insightful dashboards and scalable data models using Power BI.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Build data transformation workflows using dbt with a strong focus on Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Drive DataOps practices by integrating testing, monitoring, versioning, and collaboration into every phase of the data pipeline lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver reliable, high-impact data solutions.
- Document pipeline architecture, processes, and standards to promote consistency and transparency.
