Role Summary:
- The Salesforce Lead Quality Engineer will lead the quality assurance strategy for Salesforce implementations, ensuring robust testing frameworks, automation coverage, and compliance with enterprise standards. This role involves managing QA teams, defining test plans, implementing automation, and collaborating with developers, admins, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and implement QA strategy for Salesforce projects (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
- Lead and mentor QA engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Test Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for Salesforce features and integrations.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across multiple Salesforce modules.
Automation Framework Development:
- Design and maintain automation frameworks for Salesforce using tools like Selenium, Provar, or similar.
- Ensure high automation coverage for regression and critical workflows.
- Integration & Data Validation:
- Validate integrations between Salesforce and external systems (APIs, middleware, ETL tools).
- Perform data integrity checks and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
Performance & Security Testing:
- Conduct performance testing for large-scale Salesforce deployments.
- Ensure security compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with Salesforce developers, admins, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
- Act as QA lead in Agile ceremonies and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on Salesforce releases and QA automation trends.
- Recommend process improvements and new tools for better efficiency and coverage.
Required Skills & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years in QA, with at least 4+ years in Salesforce testing and 2+ years in a lead role.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce modules (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in tools like Selenium, Provar, TestNG, JUnit, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Salesforce APIs, SOQL, and data validation techniques.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
