These specialists perform quality evaluations of Proofs of Loss (POLs), verify compliance with the Act, regulations, and policy, ensure accuracy of documentation and calculations, and support the production of determination and appeals materials.
These roles are part of a large, high-tempo operation delivering claimant-centric, accurate, and timely claims processing. Candidates should expect fast-paced work, structured workflows, and high attention to detail.
We are hiring across a range of experience levels—from mid-level Program Analysts to senior General Planners and Project Managers—to support the volume and complexity of claims reviews.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control Specialists will:
-
Conduct quality reviews of Proofs of Loss (POLs) to verify eligibility, documentation completeness, valuation accuracy, and duplication of benefits.
-
Ensure claims are processed in alignment with 44 CFR Part 296, FEMA policies, and the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act.
-
Validate supporting documentation, including SME reports, site inspection findings, financial statements, and claimant-submitted materials.
-
Provide clear, written feedback identifying errors, inconsistencies, missing documentation, or areas requiring rework.
-
Track QC approvals and returns; identify trends; provide coaching guidance to reviewers through team leads.
-
Ensure all work is entered into FEMA’s System of Record (SOR) with accuracy and completeness.
-
Respond to real-time questions on workflow, policy interpretation, and documentation requirements.
-
Maintain strict production timelines and meet FEMA’s performance standards (e.g., 3-day QC turnaround).
-
Support data integrity, audit readiness, and overall quality assurance for the Claims Office.
