Responsibilities:

The Supervisor of Point of Care-CLS Interns is accountable for ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services aligned with organizational goals. Oversees service area planning and development, quality improvement initiatives, effective communication, staff development, and budgetary support. Maintains fiscal oversight, fosters strong interdepartmental collaboration, and manages personnel operations. Directly coordinates and supervises CLS interns, monitoring their training rotations and ensuring compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements for the CLS training facility.

Key Skills:
• Supervisory experience highly preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teaching skills is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams.

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or in a Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical Laboratory Science required

Experience
• 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
• 5 years or more experience as a CLS in a Core Laboratory as a Technical Specialist or Point of Care department preferred

Licenses and Certifications
• CLS – State of California (CA) Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required
