Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
Pay Rate: $21.75/hour
Location: East Hartford, CT
Reports To: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the organization's mission of continuous improvement by conducting detailed quality reviews across various functional areas. This role identifies trends, ensures compliance with established standards, and contributes to ongoing process enhancements. The ideal candidate will bring innovative strategies and a strong commitment to quality and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities

Learn and understand the processes within all functional areas to perform comprehensive quality reviews.

Conduct accurate, objective, and concise quality assessments.

Maintain a quality score of 96% or higher and ensure an "Approved” challenge percentage under 5% on a monthly basis.

Meet productivity and performance standards for each assigned area.

Serve as a subject matter expert in program and process knowledge.

Record, track, and analyze quality data within the quality monitoring system.

Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality processes, practices, and measures to promote continuous improvement.

Perform administrative tasks that support the Quality Team's goals and business needs.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Ensure staff return and address quality assessments requiring corrections.

Collaborate with other departments as needed to support company objectives.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
-
Preferred: College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in government services or health and human services is preferred.

Familiarity with public sector healthcare, Medicaid, or CHIP is a plus.

Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
