Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Duration: 6+ Months
10-hour shifts, Monday Thursday (4/40 schedule)
The Analytical Chemist performs a variety of chemical analyses and GMP documentation activities in accordance with cGMP, GLP, DEA, and internal company procedures. This role is responsible for performing routine QC testing of pharmaceutical drug products including dissolution, assay/degradant, content uniformity, and identity testing within a cGMP laboratory environment. The chemist ensures accuracy of data entry in the laboratory information management system, thoroughly documents all analytical work, operates and maintains analytical instrumentation, and supports team productivity by sharing information and assisting colleagues as needed. The role also involves maintaining a safe and well-organized laboratory, managing consumables, and completing other assigned tasks to support laboratory operations.
<.> Key Responsibilities

Perform routine analytical testing of drug products (dissolution, assay/degradant, content uniformity, ID) in compliance with cGMP, GLP, and DEA regulations.

Execute all assigned testing promptly and accurately, following SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Enter analytical data in LIMS and document results clearly, completely, and concisely as required by cGMP.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments including HPLC, ., dissolution apparatus, UV/Vis, IR, NIR, AA/AE, and related equipment.

Communicate within the team to optimize workflow, share updates, and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Provide assistance to other laboratory personnel when required.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment; follow housekeeping and safety practices.

Re-stock chemicals, reagents, and consumables used in routine testing.

Perform cleaning, assembly/disassembly, and small maintenance tasks on laboratory equipment.

Complete other tasks or projects as assigned.
<.> Required Skills & Experience

Understanding of analytical technologies such as HPLC, ., dissolution, automation systems, or spectroscopy (UV/Vis, NIR, IR, AA/AE).

Relevant academic or industry laboratory experience, evaluated based on quality and alignment with job requirements.

Ability to work in physically varied positions (stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching) and handle equipment/materials up to 20 lbs.

Capable of sample collection requiring stretching, twisting, or reaching.

Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks using industrial hoses and tools.

Experience documenting results, following SOPs, and complying with cGMP standards.

BA/BS degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
