Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Middletown, CT (Onsite, with travel up to 35%)
Salary Range: $80,000- $95,000 salary
Direct Hire Opportunity 
 
Introduction
4 Corner Resources is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with aerospace/ defense experience to ensure suppliers meet contractual, regulatory, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, methodical, and experienced in supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action management. This is a great opportunity for a motivated quality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play a critical role in maintaining supply chain excellence.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
  • Supplier Quality Engineering experience in the aerospace/ defense industry.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier audits, First Article Inspections (FAIs), supplier assessments, and corrective action processes.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Experience supporting Lean initiatives at supplier sites.

 Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier audits, surveys, and facility assessments for compliance with ISO/AS9100 and contractual requirements.
  • Perform supplier qualifications, performance monitoring, and development activities.
  • Review and document First Article Inspections (FAIs).
  • Investigate supplier defects and drive root cause/corrective action.
  • Maintain supplier approval and rating systems to support procurement decisions.
  • Coordinate Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and manage Supplier Requests for Variance.
  • Act as the primary interface with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Collect and analyze supplier performance data and implement improvement plans.
