Occupational Health Advisor

Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week, 8:30am – 4:30pm (30 min lunch)
Contract: Permanent
Caseload: Max 5 per day, usually 4

Summary:
OH Medical is working in partnership with an in-house Occupational Health service to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor. This is a hybrid position where you will work at least 3 days per week onsite with the flexibility to also work from home.

The position would suit an OHA who is confident in case management, enjoys working autonomously, and values being part of a supportive and clinically focused OH team.

Duties:

* Deliver case management and sickness absence consultations, producing clear and practical management reports.

* Triage Occupational Health referrals and allocate appropriately within the service.

* Provide professional advice on fitness for work, reasonable adjustments and rehabilitation.

* Support managers with health, wellbeing and attendance-related matters.

* Contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives.

* Oversee and support vaccination programmes, health surveillance and medical screening.

* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with legislation and internal protocols.

* Support and supervise clinical colleagues where required.

* Work collaboratively with HR and Health & Safety teams to manage workplace health risks.

Criteria:

* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1).

* Occupational Health qualification or significant experience working in Occupational Health.

* Proven experience in case management and sickness absence consultations.

* Good understanding of Occupational Health legislation including the Equality Act and GDPR.

* Ability to work autonomously with strong clinical judgement.

* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

* IT confident, with experience using clinical systems and Microsoft Office.

* Willingness to travel between sites when required.

* Part 3 NMC registration desirable but not essential.
