The Business Experience team’s mission is to empower brands, organizations and professionals to create engaging content for our communities while growing their presence on Client's website. This is a high impact role where you will be involved in technical & product strategy on a brand new product. You’ll have a chance to get in on the ground floor of a new product space with a 100M revenue opportunity.
We're seeking a QA Engineer to support our Business Experience Team with our Frontend, iOS & Android apps as we continuously ship new versions to our users every two weeks. If you're passionate about ensuring high-quality web and mobile experiences for millions of users, this role is for you.
Project Overview:
As a QA Engineer on the team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our Business Experience product surfaces (Client’s Pro/Profiles) across frontend and mobile apps. You'll collaborate closely with the engineering team to conduct feature testing, full regression testing, and ad hoc testing against acceptance criteria and test plans. This role involves ensuring the functionality of our apps, reporting issues, and working alongside the development team to resolve them promptly. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to perform exploratory testing to uncover unanticipated bugs and edge cases.
Tasks and Deliverables:
- Support the Business Experiences engineering team with features, full regression, and ad hoc testing.
Create and update test plans in alignment with new features and product launches. - Test app functionality and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Review user-generated or internal bug reports, reproduce issues, and initiate the ticketing process.
- Utilize tracking and debugging tools to monitor and resolve issues (we use ClubHouse & Instabug).
- Maintain clear and frequent communication with team members, stakeholders, and project/product owners regarding test results and troubleshooting.
- Work with the automation team to create and maintain a test suite for the Business Experiences
Required Experience:
- 3 years of hands-on, professional software testing experience working closely with engineering teams that delivered large scale consumer facing web and mobile applications
- Champion a remarkable customer experience within product engineering through attention to detail and product/process improvements
- Must have at least one Android device and one iOS device for mobile application testing
- Ability to identify, classify, prioritize and drive closure of issues in multiple products and software releases
- Developed validation strategy for complex functional areas at scale
