Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a hands-on clinical role responsible for providing direct patient care while supporting clinical research studies in a busy clinic environment. This position works closely with providers and patients to deliver study-related care, coordinate visits, and ensure a positive patient experience.
This is a Seasonal 3 Month Position
Monday – Wednesday 8:00am – 5:00pm (possible Thursday shifts)
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during clinical research visits
- Screen, enroll, and educate patients about research studies
- Obtain informed consent and answer patient questions in a clear, supportive manner
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage study visits and follow-ups
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, ECGs, venipuncture, specimen collection, and processing
- Prepare patients for provider exams and assist with study-related procedures
- Monitor patients for side effects or changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to providers
- Administer study-related treatments as directed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient charts and study documentation
- Ensure exam rooms, supplies, and equipment are prepared for study visits
- Communicate with clinic staff and providers to coordinate patient care
- Support study close-out and clinic workflows as needed
- Travel to other clinic locations as assigned
Working Environment
- Fast-paced outpatient or urgent care clinic
- Continuous interaction with patients and healthcare staff
- Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and clinical hazards
- Prolonged standing and hands-on patient care required
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and comfort with direct patient care
- Experience with venipuncture, vital signs, and ECGs preferred
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinic environment
- Excellent communication and bedside manner
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
- Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
