Schedule: 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM | 40 hours/week
Overview:
TalentFish is casting a line for a Laboratory Assistant -Wireless Radio Testing. This is an exciting contract role based onsite in a laboratory environment that is a great opportunity to gain experience and exposure with our premier client!The reason this position exists is to support senior laboratory staff with wireless radio testing by preparing samples, executing defined test plans, collecting and analyzing data, and ensuring accurate documentation of test results to support engineering, quality, and compliance efforts.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or technical field
- Hands-on exposure to laboratory testing environments and general lab equipment
- Understanding of laboratory information systems and basic test instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
- Comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods and working in a lab setting
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record, analyze, and explain test results
- Basic computer skills to input and extract data using available software tools
- Willingness and ability to work second shift (4:00 PM to 1:00 AM)
What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
- Assist senior staff with processing lab samples, performing wireless radio tests, and analyzing results
- Build and or adapt basic test setups and equipment for performance testing
- Execute tests using general laboratory equipment and follow defined test plans and datasheets
- Perform routine care and maintenance of designated test equipment and work areas
- Record, evaluate, and explain test results using data sheets, charts, graphs, and reports
- Read measuring instruments and review test data with engineers and laboratory technicians
- Examine customer samples and learn to perform basic tests for each case
- Communicate with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation
- Operate laboratory tools and equipment as directed by engineering staff
- Record observed or calculated data and report findings to engineers and lab staff
- Develop working knowledge of lab methods, instrumentation, and systems
- Integrate continuous improvement concepts into daily work
- Read and follow the Code of Conduct and all physical and digital security practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is up to $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity. The salary range provided is in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
