Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of aircraft engines, components, and parts at various stages of the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) process. This role ensures compliance with FAA/EASA regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections on engine parts, modules, and assemblies.
- Verify parts against technical data, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
- Identify and document discrepancies, defects, or damage.
- Ensure proper tagging, traceability, and documentation of inspected parts.
- Support teardown, repair, and assembly teams with technical inspection guidance.
- Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to validate tolerances.
- Maintain inspection records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Escalate non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with Quality and Engineering.
Essential Skills
- Quality inspection experience, particularly with CFM56, V2500, or CF6 engines.
- Proficiency in aviation quality control and assurance.
- Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and borescopes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and repair specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school or A&P license preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in aircraft engine/component inspection, preferably with CFM56, V2500, etc.
- Ability to perform borescope inspections.
Work Environment
The position requires working from Monday to Friday in an environment where precision measuring tools and inspection equipment are used to validate tolerances. The work involves ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements, and maintaining a high standard of quality assurance.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
