Position Details
- Role: Experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and licensure
- Schedule: 36-40 hours / week, 4 9-10 hour shifts

We are looking for an experienced veterinary technician or assistant to join our team at Armadale Animal Hospital. This person should feel comfortable handling dogs and cats, taking medical histories, and drawing blood. Regular shifts will involve 4 weekday shifts, one of which will be an urgent care shift 1 PM to 10 PM.

What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Technician or Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our medical team and ensuring each patient receives compassionate, high-quality care.
- Handle and restrain dogs and cats safely and gently
- Take thorough medical histories and communicate clearly with clients
- Draw blood and assist with diagnostics and sample preparation
- Support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries
- Provide client education with warmth and professionalism
- Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and patient records
- Participate in urgent care shifts with confidence and teamwork
- Communicate with warmth, clarity, and confidence
- Embrace the occasional “cat rodeo” with safe, skilled handling
- Celebrate the moments that matter — birthdays, babies, anniversaries
