This is NOT a remote opportunity

Clinical Trial Assistant, temp-to-hire, Dedham, $25+/hr.

This is a scientific, administrative role consisting of medical research and file maintenance. There is a lot of team-focused, group and project work. Must be comfortable working alone and closely in a team.

Company is a small Biotech Consultant serving clients with medical devices, drugs and or biologics. Numerous ongoing clients and components keep things both interesting and moving. Ability to apply knowledge from one study to another is highly desirable.

All work to be performed on site. Ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and is comfortable reading and following instructions. You'll learn a process and be applying it to similar situations (eg CVs from various roles and countries which may not look the same but all have expiry and all should be signed) You will learn skill sets (as opposed to everything looking identical) that will be applied in a variety of areas. Critical thinking and ability to apply educational material is key.

Position focuses on supporting clinical trials and Project Managers. Tasks include:

  • Reviewing files and ensuring all documents are in place for audits. Will be trained on folder structures and will follow up to obtain any missing documents (RESUME's of Doctors, etc.)
  • Naming files in a specific format following instructions in a large excel sheet (eg comfort with spreadsheets and searching for key words is important)
  • Review of documents to catch and correct any issues before problems arise for their clients. Detail focus and noticing items that don't look like the "others are key. (missing signature etc)
  • General support functions such as inventorying and shipping supplies to study sites and updating tracker with what was sent, when and with via what service
  • Filing project correspondence emails according to the 'inbox filing guide' (will train to it onsite)

Discretion is HUGE in this role. Candidate will take HIPPA and GDPR training and must pass a background check before perm hire.

There is lots of training material but a much of it is written or in video format. Teammates are always available to answer, however, the small office and fast paced nature of the work means ability to read and ask for clarification is key.

There are a good number of trackers similar to excel. Ability to use filters and generally navigate programs such as these using control F is critical.
