The Fountain Group is currently seeking a QC Microbiology Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is located at Ridgefield, NJ. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Title: Micro QC Analyst I

Location: Ridgefield, NJ
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $31/hr
Shift:

  • Mon–Fri (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) OR (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • Flexibility in shift timing; weekend/overtime as required

Job Summary:

The Micro QC Analyst I will support the Microbiology Laboratory and Environmental Monitoring (EM) Program within a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role involves microbial testing, EM monitoring in aseptic production areas, data entry, SOP support, and investigation writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbial testing (bioburden, membrane filtration, sterility, endotoxin, TOC, conductivity)
  • Conduct environmental monitoring (EM) in Grade A–D aseptic areas
  • Data entry and review in LIMS, logbooks, and lab systems
  • Support OOS investigations and deviation documentation
  • Create, review, and update SOPs
  • Maintain lab inventory and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and HSE regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and site operations

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Microbiology, Biology, or related field
  • 2+ years of QC Microbiology experience in pharma/biotech/lab environment
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP standards
  • Experience with microbiology lab techniques (bacteria, yeast, mold)
  • Hands-on experience with EM monitoring & aseptic environments
  • Experience in data review, documentation, and technical writing
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SOP authoring/review
  • Knowledge of OOS investigations & change controls
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours)
  • Perform lab-related physical activities (kneeling, reaching, stretching)
