SALARY:
$20.00 – $22.75 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose:
Provide administrative assistance to the Faculty of the Biomedical Sciences department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist faculty with their planning and execution of curricular activities including labs, lectures, quizzes, and small group activities.
- Collegially greet students, answer phones, and schedule appointments.
- Order and receive supplies for the department, including submission of requisitions.
- Schedule departmental meetings and other departmental events as assigned.
- Document department and committee meetings.
- Assist faculty in organizing work-related travel and reimbursement requests.
- Maintain calendars for faculty in the department, including scheduling meetings with students.
- Serve as staff to assigned committees including scheduling, attending, and taking minutes.
- Performs general office support duties including maintaining electronic and paper files, completing reports, creating correspondence, proofreading, maintaining office equipment, and overall departmental organization.
- Assist faculty with integrating course material into new technologies including the Leaning Management System (LMS).
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice Chair of Biomedical Science or their designee.

- Assist administration, faculty, and staff in special projects as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate well and work effectively and cohesively in a team-based environment.
- Working level of computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
- Ability to work with high level attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to recognize and solve problems quickly.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected data (student grades, etc)
- Ability to learn new software programs.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate initiate in carrying out job responsibilities.
- Ability to keep a clean and well organized working environment.
- Professional background or experience in education.
- Knowledge of scientific and medical terminology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in administrative support position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or other advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products and video conferencing platforms.
