Title: Analytical Chemist
Position Type: 8 month contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Compensation: $36.25/HR
Position Summary
The role involves supporting drug product development through analytical testing, method validation, and documentation in accordance with SOPs and cGMP standards. The scientist will contribute to troubleshooting, technology evaluation, and cross-functional project support under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct release and stability testing of drug products in compliance with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
Plan and execute validation of analytical methods; may develop and adapt methods as needed.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues.
Investigate and evaluate new analytical technologies.
Document experimental results in ELN and RLIMS systems; perform and/or support second chemist reviews.
Author analytical reports, SOPs, and other technical documentation.
Receive mentorship from a scientific supervisor and collaborate effectively within the team.
Ensure all work meets standards of efficiency, innovation, accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Provide analytical support for development projects and research activities within the Analytical Sciences team.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related Life Sciences with 2–5 years of relevant experience; or
Master’s degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Hands-on experience with chromatographic analysis using UPLC and HPLC techniques.
Solid understanding of cGMP and SOP-compliant analytical testing (note: most work will be non-GMP).
Proven problem-solving abilities in technical/scientific contexts.
Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative with a positive attitude.
Desired Skills and Experience
Familiarity with Empower chromatographic data software.
Experience analyzing oral solid dosage forms.
Hands-on experience with dissolution testing, water activity analysis, and Karl Fischer titration.
