ANP/ACP Locum OOH
Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) – Out of Hours
Location: North of Tyne region (various bases across North Tyneside, Northumberland & Newcastle)
Pay Rate: £45 – £55 per hour (Ltd Company)
About the Role:
We are looking for experienced and reliable ANPs/ACPs to join our Out of Hours (OOH) service across the North of Tyne region. This role offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a real difference to patients in urgent care settings.
Shifts include a mix of triage, centre-based care, and home visits, with training and shadowing provided (including palliative care).
Shift Patterns (indicative):

Weekdays: 18:30/19:00 – 22:30/23:30/midnight
*
Overnights: 22:00 – 06:00 or 00:00 – 08:00
*
Weekends: 08:00 – 22:30/midnight, plus overnight cover
Key Responsibilities:
*
Provide urgent care assessments and treatment for patients of all ages
*
Undertake triage, centre shifts, and home visits as required
*
Support palliative care patients where necessary
*
Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care in line with best practice
*
Work flexibly across sites, supporting continuity of service
Requirements:
*
Independent Prescriber (V300) – essential
*
MSc in Advanced Practice (or equivalent/working towards)
*
Confidence in managing patients of all ages
*
Previous OOH, GP surgery, or urgent care experience preferred
*
Flexible and reliable, with a commitment to regular shifts
Desirable:
*
Palliative care experience
*
Familiarity with urgent care triage systems
