Job Title: Assistant Scientist

Shift: Normal Business Hours
Payrate: $30 – $33 /hr on w2
Job Summary:
- Cell Core is responsible for supplying cellular products to support internal organizations.
- Team communications and support occur within and between varied company levels and internal organizations.
- This role will be responsible for in-lab fulfilment of requests across the cell therapy franchise.
- The role will therefore require a high degree of approachability and interpersonal savvy, with a proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Effective organizational skills will also be necessary as the candidate will be responsible for varied technical work, process execution, and organizing large quantities of data.
- The candidate will additionally assist in manufacturing engineered T-cell products and intermediates in support of Technical Development, Process Development, Analytical Development, and Process Characterization efforts.
- The position will require process execution, documentation, data analysis, drafting of technical reports, and presentation of results.
- Strong attention to detail and flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend shifts is required.
Responsibilities:
- Lab-based role responsible for assisting in generating T-cell products and intermediates
- Management of freezer inventory and oversight of material allocation to stakeholders
- Experience with aseptic technique while working in the biological safety cabinet.
- Effective problem solving and ability to adapt to change on the fly.
Qualifications & Experience
- A.A. (Lab Technician) or BS (Assistant Scientist) in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or relevant scientific discipline with 0-2 years of industry bioprocess experience.
- Excellent aseptic technique strongly preferred.
- Buffer and media preparation, cell banking experience preferred.
- Excellent record keeping and documentation skills.
- Experience with managing large inventory systems strongly preferred.
- Proficient use of MS Office products.
- Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to rapid changes, and work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong prioritization skills.
