Overview
An Acute NHS Hospital in the East of England is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to start as soon as possible for an urgent short-term placement initially running until the end of March.
This is a fast-paced acute setting requiring an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong rehabilitation and discharge planning experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver occupational therapy assessment and treatment within an acute hospital environment
Manage a varied caseload including acute rehabilitation
Complete functional assessments to support safe discharge planning
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Provide equipment recommendations and contribute to discharge packages
Maintain accurate and defensible clinical documentation
Support patient flow and length-of-stay reduction initiatives
Essential Requirements
HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
Band 6 acute experience essential
Strong acute rehabilitation and discharge planning skills
Confident managing a broad-based caseload
Fully compliant prior to submission
Must not currently be working in a contracted or Bank capacity within the local NHS system
Working Pattern
3 x 12.5 hour shifts per week
7:00am – 8:00pm
Monday to Friday shifts
