Band: 7
Location: Nobles Hospital, Isle of Man
Contract: ASAP
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week (no on-call)
Rate: £50 per hour

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Children's Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric Therapy team at Nobles Hospital on the Isle of Man. This role involves working with children and young people with a range of complex needs, supporting their development, independence, and participation in daily life.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with developmental, sensory, or physical needs.

Deliver therapy in both hospital and special educational settings.

Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) including physiotherapists, speech & language therapists, and paediatricians.

Support children, families, and carers in developing care and therapy plans.

Contribute to service development and best practice within the paediatric therapy team.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with local and national standards.

Essential Requirements

HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.

Experience working with children, including in special needs schools.

Skilled in assessment, care planning, and therapeutic interventions.

Confident working collaboratively with other AHPs in multi-disciplinary settings.

Able to be based on the Isle of Man for the duration of the contract.

Desirable Requirements

Postgraduate training in paediatric OT or sensory integration.

Experience with complex physical and developmental needs.

Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Contract Details

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Up to 37.5 per week

On-Call: Not required

Accommodation: Discounted staff accommodation available

Travel: Return travel to/from the mainland covered at start and end of placement
