Position: Biotechnology Litigation Associate

Status: Full time 40 hours a week

Hours: Hybrid based on 9 to 5 hours

Salary Range: $260.000 To $365,000 depending on qualifications and experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experienced associate attorney to join its thriving biology, biotechnology, and chemical patent litigation practicePrepare subpoenas duces tecum and ensure proper service.
  • This position will provide the opportunity to work on a wide variety of patent litigation matters in the biology, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields with quality domestic and foreign clients.
  • The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field, and will have three to five years of biologics, pharmaceutical, chemical or biotech litigation, PTAB, and/or related patent litigation experience.
  • Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office is preferred.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field, and will have three to five years of biologics, pharmaceutical, chemical or biotech litigation, PTAB, and/or related patent litigation experience.
  • Top academic credentials, strong analytical abilities, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work well on a team are required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office is preferred.
  • Prior experience working on BPCIA and/or Hatch Waxman litigation matters is a plus.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking
  • This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, in a home office as well as an in-person office environment.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds.

This position is currently a hybrid position, with days worked in the DC office and days worked remotely. The hybrid status of this position may change at any time subject to the Client's discretion.
