TITLE: Business Analyst/Sr Business Analyst with QA Background

We are seeking a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst with a quality assurance background to support multiple initiatives through detailed business analysis and project documentation. This role works closely with business users to capture and document current and future-state processes, define requirements, identify system dependencies, and recommend improvements. In addition to core business analysis responsibilities, the position supports quality assurance activities related to process, system, and infrastructure changes, including audit and control validation efforts.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Validate that processes are operating as designed through evidence review and alignment with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure appropriate controls are incorporated into solutions, including security and risk considerations.
- Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and project teams.
- Establish and sustain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction throughout project execution.
- Identify, document, and track issues within business systems or processes and recommend opportunities for increased efficiency.
- Facilitate communication between users and project teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
- Serve as an independent reviewer for infrastructure and system changes.
- Analyze and document current application structures, process flows, and usage scenarios.
- Identify and document system and application dependencies.
- Support stakeholders in defining requirements for future-state use cases.
- Support timely delivery of project outputs by assisting across tasks as needed.
- Capture, review, and maintain business process requirements based on stakeholder input and feedback.
- Track assigned actions and deliverables through completion.
- Participate in change reviews and supporting evidence validation activities.
- Update and enhance existing documentation and support the creation of training or reference materials.
- Build a strong understanding of business operations, workflows, and underlying processes.
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams and supporting written documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and provide timely updates to project leadership.
- Define and document functional requirements related to audit and compliance preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of documentation best practices, including version control, revision history, and requirement identification.
- Highly motivated, positive, and solution-focused professional with a passion for business analysis.
- Experience supporting third-party or vendor-led implementations.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards is preferred.
- Proven ability to own tasks and drive them to completion.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.
- Ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders and manage challenging stakeholder situations.
- Demonstrated experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Exposure to audit preparation activities is a plus.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and document existing processes and business needs.
- Experience validating evidence against documented requirements is preferred.
- Experience with process design and documentation, including the use of Visio or similar tools.
- Experience producing standard business analysis artifacts such as requirements documents, As-Is and To-Be diagrams, use cases, traceability matrices, data dictionaries, business rules, and meeting notes.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams in matrixed project environments.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn and share knowledge.
- Experience working in regulated environments is preferred.
