Business Development Manager – Complex Care & Supported Living
South London | Hybrid
£65,000 – £75,000 + performance incentives

We are recruiting a commercially driven Business Development Manager for a confidential, clinically led complex care provider based in South London.
This senior, externally facing role focuses on growing supported living occupancy and expanding adult and paediatric community complex care services across London and the South East. The successful candidate will manage opportunities from referral through assessment, bid, contract negotiation and mobilisation to go-live.
The Role Reporting to senior leadership, the Business Development Manager will deliver sustainable growth while ensuring new services are operationally safe and commercially viable.
Key focus areas:
Increase supported living occupancy
Secure new adult and paediatric complex care packages
Build commissioner and referrer relationships
Manage full pipeline from enquiry to live service
Key Responsibilities
Generate and convert opportunities across NHS, CHC, ICBs, local authorities, case managers and private funders
Lead tenders, bids, presentations and contract negotiations
Assess referral viability including pricing and operational feasibility
Work with clinical and mobilisation teams to ensure safe onboarding
Monitor commissioning trends and competitor activity
Provide pipeline reporting to senior leadership
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a senior Business Development Manager role within complex care or supported living
Strong understanding of NHS, CHC and local authority commissioning pathways
Experience writing bids, pricing packages and negotiating contracts
Operational knowledge of mobilisation and onboarding processes
Ability to balance revenue growth with CQC compliance and governance
Confident engaging senior commissioners and stakeholders
Desirable:
Existing South East networks
Experience increasing supported living occupancy
