Band 7 NHS Cardiac Physiologist (Agency Role)
Location: Margate, Kent
Pay Rate: £28.08 PAYE inclusive per hour (via Direct Engagement)
Contract Type: Agency / Locum
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Hours: Full-time (specific rota/hours to be confirmed)
We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join a leading NHS Trust in Margate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a busy and well-supported cardiology department while enjoying the flexibility of agency work.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic cardiac investigations and supporting complex cardiac procedures. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and must be confident in both independent and collaborative working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and interpret a wide range of cardiac investigations, including ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, echocardiograms (transthoracic and transoesophageal), and exercise tolerance tests
Assist in cardiac catheterisation labs for diagnostic and interventional procedures
Support and train junior staff and students
Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with Trust policiesEssential Requirements:
BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent
RCCP/HCPC registration (or equivalent professional body)
Extensive experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent in a cardiac physiology role
Strong competencies in echocardiography and/or cath lab work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)What We Offer:
