- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking safety-focused and detail-oriented Chemical Operators to support manufacturing, production, shipping/receiving, and material handling operations within a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.
This position is responsible for executing production plans through SAP, maintaining quality standards, operating forklifts, handling tanker and railcar unloading/loading activities, and supporting customer order fulfillment operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing setting while following all EH&S, DOT, and company safety procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with chemical manufacturing, industrial production, warehouse, or process operations experience.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Manufacturing
- Execute daily production schedules and manufacturing activities
- Operate production equipment and support chemical processing operations
- Produce finished products safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards
- Complete production documentation and batch records accurately
- Monitor throughput requirements and communicate production concerns proactively
- Assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions when needed
Shipping & Receiving
- Schedule and perform loading/unloading of:
- Tankers
- Rail cars
- Totes
- Drums
- Pails
- Prepare shipments according to customer specifications and DOT regulations
- Receive incoming materials and transfer products to designated storage locations
- Maintain accurate SAP inventory and shipping documentation
Quality & Safety
- Follow all EH&S, OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations
- Wear all required PPE:
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toed boots
- Gloves
- Face shield
- Participate in:
- Daily/monthly safety meetings
- Behavior-based safety programs
- Web-based training
- Environmental management initiatives
- Maintain clean and organized production and warehouse areas
- Support quality assurance and lab procedures
- Ensure products meet production and quality specifications
Equipment Operation
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Perform safe dock operations and material movement
- Report maintenance or equipment concerns promptly
- Support continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Chemical manufacturing
- Industrial production
- Manufacturing distribution
- Process operations
- Forklift experience required
- SAP or ERP system experience preferred
- Computer proficiency including:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- SAP systems
- Strong reading, math, and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma exposure is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to:
- Stand for extended periods
- Walk, bend, climb stairs, and balance
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Comfortable working around:
- Moving mechanical equipment
- Heat and humidity
