Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control MEP Project Manager to support a complex construction project in Chicago, IL. This role will oversee the quality of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems throughout all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical resource to the project team, ensuring systems are constructed in accordance with design documents, codes, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities

Review MEP designs and provide feedback on constructability, sequencing, and industry best practices
*
Conduct regular field inspections and document quality findings
*
Coordinate with project teams and trade contractors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
*
Serve as the primary quality liaison for MEP-related construction activities
*
Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards
*
Support collaboration between owners, architects, engineers, and construction teams
*
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across project teams
Qualifications
*
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
*
6+ years of experience in MEP construction, building commissioning, or construction quality management
*
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
*
Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and quality control procedures
*
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
*
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
Preferred Qualifications
*
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
*
Experience working on large or complex construction projects
*
Certifications such as BCxP (ASHRAE Certified Building Commissioning Professional), CQM-C (USACE), or similar
This is a fully on-site position in Chicago, IL supporting a large-scale construction project.
