About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to develop and implement advanced machine learning, data mining, and statistical models to analyze complex datasets. This position involves working on diverse and challenging problems, building scalable solutions, and partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver actionable insights for mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to analyze complex datasets.

Prototype and evaluate algorithms, selecting the best model based on performance metrics.

Create experiments to generate or simulate datasets when required data is unavailable.

Produce detailed reports and visualizations that summarize findings and provide data-driven insights.

Partner with subject matter experts to translate manual data analysis workflows into automated analytics.

Implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks for operational use.

Collaborate with software engineers and cloud developers to deploy production-ready analytics.

Develop and train machine learning systems using statistical data analysis to automate mission workflows.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of experience, Master’s degree + 5 years, or PhD + 2 years in a relevant field.

Technical Skills:Proficiency with data analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.

Ability to develop feature vectors and select appropriate machine learning algorithms.

Experience evaluating analytics performance using techniques like cross-validation, ROC curves, and confusion matrices.

Ability to guide analytic development for scalability with large datasets.

Key Competencies:Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proven ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with cloud platforms and production environments.

Experience integrating machine learning systems into operational workflows.
