Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience with Python for machine learning, particularly with XGBoost, scikit-learn, and NumPy/pandas
- Proficiency in PySpark for handling and analyzing large datasets stored in parquet format
- Experience in validating or reverse engineering ML models from business logic or legacy implementations
- Exposure to Java-based ML libraries or a deep understanding of cross-language model mapping
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Python frameworks for meta-modelling libraries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customer teams to understand Java-based XGBoost models
- Interpret and validate data transformation logic and feature pipelines
- Run Python-converted models on historical datasets and validate outputs
- Work with model validation teams to review performance and explain any metric deviations
- Design unit tests and validation scenarios for migrated models
- Ingest model input data using PySpark and pandas to reproduce workflows
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and spot-check predictions as needed
