Manager Notes
- This project will run four major initiatives over the next year, including a Nerve Center (decision-insights) platform focused on a manufacturing environment. The solution monitors key factory inputs, identifies risks, trends, and KPIs, and provides executive-level visibility along with root cause analysis and recommended remediation actions based on signals from the factory floor.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
- The role will support data analysis and insight generation, working alongside a dedicated data engineer. The technical environment is primarily Microsoft Azure, with Python and Databricks as core technologies.
- The team is seeking someone with general LLM experience, such as building chatbot integrations and performing prompt engineering. This individual will work closely with a technical lead as part of a broader AI initiative and may be flexed across related workstreams as needed.
- The overall team structure includes a data engineer and solution architect, with approximately four technical and two functional team members.
- This is completely greenfield work and mostly modeling work.
Description
- Role will be involved in specific engagements involving the building of new, bespoke advanced analytical solutions for clients.
- Will leverage advanced data analysis skills to create innovative approaches to answer clients' most relevant questions, to prepare complex data analyses and models that help solve client problems and deliver significant measurable impact.
- Role will act as an analytics translator, communicating complex data related requirements between business and IT stakeholders.
- Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of the design and development process of data analytics tools and experience working with data engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field like Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field required. Advanced degree is a strong plus
- Minimum of 3-6 years experience with advanced knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques (regression, decision trees, clustering, neural networks, etc.).
- Experience in working with large datasets and relational databases is highly desirable (SQL).
- Knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus (Python, C++, Java).
