Canyon Crest Dental Riverside is a modern dental practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care and high-quality dental restorations. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Dental Lab Technician – Ceramist to join our in-house lab team.
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled technician who wants to take ownership of lab operations and be part of a close-knit, quality-focused team.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate is proficient in zirconia crown and implant crown fabrication, dental CAD/CAM systems, and implant components. You will be responsible for all aspects of the lab’s day-to-day operations, including shade matching, equipment maintenance, workflow tracking, and case management.
You’ll work independently but closely with management, clinical staff, and occasionally, patients.
Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Open to full or part-time opportunities

Key Responsibilities
-
Design and fabricate high-quality zirconia crowns and implant restorations using CAD/CAM systems

Interact with patients for custom shade matching
-
Manage in-house lab operations and ensure cases stay on schedule

Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment (milling machines, ovens, scanners, etc.)

Communicate lab needs and progress with management

Assist with case deliveries or provide support to the clinical team as needed
Minimum Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience as a dental laboratory technician
-
Strong experience in fixed prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, implants)
-
Proficient with zirconia design and CAD/CAM fabrication
-
Familiarity with implant components (custom abutments, screw-retained restorations)
-
Capable of maintaining lab equipment and managing workflows
Preferred Qualifications
-
5+ years of full-scope lab experience (digital and traditional workflows)

Experience with various implant systems (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Zimmer, etc.)

Prior experience interacting directly with patients for shade matching

Worked in a dental office-based lab environment

Ability to assist in clinical case planning and deliveries
