The brief
Woodstock Recruitment has been exclusively retained by Iduna A/S, a forward thinking, family run H,I & I manufacturer with big ambitions and growth plans to fulfil them.
Iduna is a Danish family business that produces professional cleaning products since more than 50 years, with the market's highest standards and with a focus on the environment.

Looking for an experienced chemist with 3 or 4 years, or a senior chemist with 5-10 years+ experience, they don’t mind, but what they do want is someone who is committed to the journey for the long term.
Initially joining their small technical team, you will be mentored by their chief chemist, who is looking to pass all of his skills and knowledge to the next person for the next step of their growth phase.
You will be a ‘swiss army knife’ of chemists. You will have a little bit of everything, from formulation, some QC, knowledge of quality and perhaps some regulatory knowledge too. Though you will not be alone, with pre-existing staff across all functions already within the business.

What you will do
* Development of new professional products for surfaces/kitchen/laundry hygiene and personal care
* Improvement of existing products
* Search and validation of new raw materials, proactive meetings with suppliers
* Team work with Management team to define development targets
* Implement/improve manufacturing processes in cooperation with production team
* Carrying out specific series of tests with customers
* Scientific support for legal compliance to regulations (Ecolabels, cosmetics…)
* Participation to International congresses (SEPAWA…), and trade fairs (ISSA Interclean …)
What you will need
* Bachelor or Masters of Chemistry or similar qualification
* 3 to 5+ years experience of formulation in the area of I&I detergents
* Good commercial thinking and knowledge of the H, I & I industry.
* Fluent English language skills
* Fluent in or a commitment to develop skills within Danish and/or German language skills
* Mastery of Microsoft office IT tools (Excel, word, power point), knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
* Ability to work independently and at the same time enjoy teamwork, have a high level of creativity, and flexibility, positive thinking and always solution oriented
£50000 – £80000/annum
