Digital User Experience (UX) Researcher II
Remote- Must work CST or EST hours
9-month contract
Pay Rate: $48.00 – $51.00 per hr.
Our client's Research & Innovation team provides insight and testing expertise to improve digital experiences across all of our customer-facing platforms. We're seeking a usability research specialist who will focus on the evaluative (implementation) phase of research testing, measuring, and refining digital features to continuously improve our products. This is a 9-month contract role (through July), remote, with flexibility for candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones.
Responsibilities
- Lead usability studies across digital products including mobile banking, online banking, application processes.
- Design, set up, and manage usability tests through (url removed) (the industry-standard platform).
- Recruit participants, create task scenarios, and facilitate test sessions.
- Analyze and synthesize findings from usability studies to identify friction points and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and digital teams to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with accessibility specialists in the Experience Design (XD) group when accessibility or inclusion-related issues are uncovered.
- Deliver clear, evidence-based reports and insights to stakeholders, ensuring recommendations are actionable and user-centered.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience running usability testing this is the core skill for the role.
- Familiarity with (url removed) (or similar usability testing tools).
- 2+ years of experience in usability research, with a track record of actionable insights.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills ability to present findings in a clear, engaging way.
- UI/UX design background
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of design concepts such as design thinking, customer-centric design, or data-driven design.
- Experience across diverse industries (e-commerce, healthcare, retail, etc.).
- A finance background is not required and can even be a plus if you don't have it, since it helps mirror our customers' perspective.
