Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire – On-site
Industry: Medical Advanced Manufacturing / Specialist Processing Services

Make Safety a Standard. Not an Option.

A leading provider in medical processing services is seeking a confident, proactive EHS Manager to take ownership of environment, health, safety and radiation compliance at their expanding site.

This is a highly visible and hands on role where you'll shape site culture, drive EHS strategy, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, including the site’s progression toward ISO 14001 certification. You’ll also step into the position of Radiation Safety Officer, with full training provided.

If you're driven by impact, confident in regulated environments, and ready to lead safety with influence, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Site-Wide EHS Performance

* Champion a safety-first culture across all site activities, shop floor to leadership

* Conduct site walkthroughs, lead safety committee meetings, and follow up on improvements

* Support incident investigation, trend analysis, and reporting to senior leadership

Own Compliance and Risk Management

* Ensure site adherence to UK environmental, health & safety legislation and internal policies

* Develop and maintain robust safety, environmental, and emergency procedures

* Conduct and oversee risk assessments, audits, and inspections

* Lead internal audit preparation and action planning for ISO standards

Radiation & Facility Oversight

* Act as Radiation Safety Officer (training will be provided in-house)

* Manage key facility contracts and coordinate site-based contractors and maintenance

* Work closely with external advisors, regulators and service providers

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent H&S qualification)

* Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001

* Proven EHS experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial setting

* Strong understanding of UK health, safety and environmental law

* Experience managing or influencing cross-functional teams and contractors

Nice-to-Haves

* Exposure to radiation, gamma, or nuclear safety environments

* Awareness of COMAH regulations (helpful but not essential)

* Strong facility, contractor and service vendor coordination skills

Why This Role?

* Lead EHS and radiation safety at a growing, high-integrity site with global links

* Full training provided to become a Radiation Safety Officer, great for those with a nuclear or high-regulation background

* Opportunity to help shape sustainability and safety culture in a critical industry

* Join a site pushing for certification and excellence, you’ll be key to that journey

If you're ready to take your EHS expertise to the next level in a vital, rewarding environment, apply now and be part of something that matters
