Job Description:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Valid motor vehicle operator s license (as required).
  • Ability to complete required training courses for applicable environmental or radiological duties.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Willingness to conduct fieldwork in rural areas, construction sites, and all weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel frequently for day trips.

Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in environmental science, physical sciences, life sciences, ecology, sustainability, engineering, or related natural resource field.
  • Experience reading and interpreting maps and preparing diagrams.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain working knowledge of regulations for Subsurface Sewage Disposal Systems and State Operating Permits.
  • Read and interpret maps; create diagrams and provide appropriate guidance.
  • Write and review technical reports and inspection documents.
  • Apply rules and regulations to various compliance scenarios.
  • Maintain digital permit files, reports, and records.
  • Operate a state vehicle and drive to remote sites for inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse individuals and stakeholders.

Should Have:

  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to perform field inspections and assessments.
  • Proficiency in documentation and record management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification and Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in environmental science or related field (required).
  • Additional specialized training or licensing may be required based on assigned duties.
