Female Support Worker

Location: Ewell, Surrey

Salary: £17 – £19 per hour

Hours: Friday & Saturday 08:00 – 20:00 (24 hours per week) Additional hours available. Bank Support Workers also considered.

A fantastic opportunity to join an established care team supporting an engaging and happy young woman, living within the family home in Ewell, Surrey.

The Client

Jasmine is an endearing 19 year old young woman with an easy going, bubbly nature. Jasmine suffered a brain injury at birth which left her with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a visual impairment and learning difficulties and as a result, Jasmine needs support in all areas of her life.

Jasmine especially loves listening to music and pamper sessions; having her hair styled and nails manicured.  Jasmine loves to be out and about in the local and wider community, going for walks, for a drive in the car and she also loves swimming. Jasmine has a great sense of humour and thrives in the company of positive and sociable people.

The Role

We now have the opportunity for a further Support Worker to join the established care team providing an attentive and high standard of care to ensure Jasmine is able to continue enjoying her interests and hobbies and ideally who will be creative in thinking of new places to visit or activities which Jasmine may enjoy.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of the need to support Jasmine’s emotional wellbeing as well as attending to her physical needs.  You will be required to support Jasmine’s therapeutic programmes and the successful candidate will need to have experience of medication administration and have a strong understanding of the need to maintain care records meticulously.  Jasmine is non-verbal and the successful candidate should be willing to learn Jasmine’s communication strategies.

Full training will be given to the right candidate, however experience of support work would be  an advantage.

Available Hours

We are offering the following hours each week:

Friday:  08:00 – 20:00 working on a one-to-one basis with Jasmine
Saturday:  08:00 – 20:00 working on a two-to-one basis with Jasmine going out and about
Additional hours available, as follows:

Non-Term Time: Monday to Thursday  16:00 – 22:00 (6 hours per shift, 24 hours per week)

Maternity Cover: Saturday and Sunday 08:00 – 20:00 commencing Summer 2026.

Bank Support Workers also required.

Rates of Pay

Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour
Saturday & Sunday: £19.00 per hour
Bank Holidays: 1.5 times usual weekday hourly rate
Person Specification

Must be female;
Must hold a full UK manual driving licence and be willing to drive the Client’s WAV;
Experience of working with complex care needs an advantage;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
Have a good sense of humour and positive outlook on life;
**Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Park 1 Schedule 9
