Head of Recruitment – Complex Care

Head of Recruitment – Complex Care
Location: UK-wide with Head Office access in London
Salary: £75,000 to £80,000 per annum, negotiable for the right person
Working Pattern: Full time, hybrid, senior leadership role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact Head of Recruitment – Complex Care role, with full ownership to build, scale, and lead a best-in-class recruitment function within a rapidly growing complex care organisation.

Following the acquisition of two complex care providers, the business is entering a significant growth phase across community-based adult, paediatric, and mental health and learning disability services. This role is designed for an exceptional recruitment leader who can move at pace, think commercially, and build a high-performing team from the ground up.

The opportunity As Head of Recruitment – Complex Care, you will design and deliver a national recruitment strategy with board-level visibility and direct influence on business growth. You will be trusted to hire outstanding recruiters, attract the strongest talent from the sector, and position the organisation as an employer of choice within complex care.

This is an exclusive leadership role with a clear mandate to build a team of around 10 specialist recruiters initially, scaling to approximately 20 consultants by the end of the year. There is defined scope for this role to progress to Director level as the recruitment function and wider group continues to scale.

Key responsibilities
Build and lead a specialist recruitment function focused on community complex care
Develop recruitment strategy across adult, paediatric, and mental health and learning disability services
Hire, develop, and scale a high-performing recruitment team
Proactively attract top-tier talent from leading complex care and community providers
Support rapid growth following acquisitions and service expansion
Contribute to longer-term plans including potential NHS and international expansion

What we are looking for
Proven senior recruitment leadership experience within complex care, health, or social care
Track record of building and scaling recruitment teams in high-growth environments
Strong commercial awareness and ability to operate at pace
Deep understanding of talent attraction, mapping, and competitor hiring
Confidence working at board and executive level
Willingness to travel to London head office as required

What is on offer
Salary of £75,000 to £80,000 per annum, with flexibility for exceptional candidates
Senior leadership role with a clear pathway to Director level
Opportunity to build and lead a national recruitment team from the ground up
Long-term progression aligned to group growth and acquisitions
Exposure to strategic planning, transformation, and expansion activity
High autonomy with strong executive backing

Why this role stands out This Head of Recruitment – Complex Care position offers the chance to build a market-leading recruitment function and progress into a Director-level role as the organisation continues to scale. You will not inherit legacy structures. You will be empowered to build something exceptional and directly influence the future of complex care recruitment.
