ICU Manager | Intensive Care Unit | St Anthony's Hospital | Private Hospital | Permanent | Full Time | Sutton
Spire St Anthony's is looking for an ICU Manager to lead our dedicated Intensive Care Team. This is an exciting role and a chance to lead a team in providing exemplary care to the patients using our services.
We are committed to providing high levels of cleanliness and high quality patient care. You will be working in our full equipped 8-bedded intensive care unit, caring for patients with more complex medical needs.
Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We have six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialities and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities:
– Assess patients health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload
– Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals health and wellbeing needs
– Provide and receive complex, sensitive and contentious information
– Develop own skills and knowledge and that of others
– Promote best practise in health and safety and security
– Assist in maintaining and developing services
– Contribute to quality improvement
– Promote people's equality, diversity and rights
– Apply technology or measurement, monitoring and treatment
– Deliver educational and assess competencies for ICU staff
– Audit of EWS and critical care required standards for Spire Hospitals
– Provide set down care from ICU to ward environment
– Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI

Who we're looking for:
– Current NMC registration with no restriction on practise
– Experienced in ICU
– Good management experience, with proven ability to lead a team
– With excellent organisational and communication skills they will also be required to manage a complex service while ensuring a gold standard of care for all patients throughout their patient journey
