Proclinical is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead and manage relationships with national grocery, high street, and discount customers. This role focuses on driving strategic account leadership, team management, cross-functional collaboration, and market innovation. You will play a pivotal role in delivering sales targets, fostering team performance, and contributing to the overall growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage relationships with key retail partners, acting as the senior escalation point for customer issues and opportunities.
Oversee the execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs), Cost Price Increases (CPIs), and commercial contracts across accounts.
Deliver annual sales targets and revenue growth objectives while ensuring accurate forecasting and budget management.
Drive strategic initiatives to support brand growth, distribution expansion, and commercial performance.
Negotiate trade terms and pricing strategies to ensure mutual value and long-term growth.
Line manage and develop a team of Key Account Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, trade marketing, and customer solutions, to achieve business goals.
Represent the team in senior commercial forums and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
Champion innovation and continuous improvement in account management practices.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Experience in national account management within FMCG or OTC sectors.
Proven success in leading negotiations and managing UK retailer accounts.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent negotiation, commercial, and strategic planning abilities.
Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
