Reports to: Quality Engineering Manager
Location: New Albany, IN – Join our team in a vibrant community known for its rich history and close-knit atmosphere, offering a great quality of life and easy access to the Louisville metropolitan area.
Experience: Min. 2 years in a technical position in a manufacturing environment.
Education: High School Diploma, Associate Degree preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in our standard's laboratory creating calibration and inspection standards.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of reference standards and materials.
- Prepare and maintain calibration certificates and documentation for traceability.
- Perform routine calibration and verification of measurement instruments in accordance with laboratory standards.
- Assist in the development and validation of measurement procedures and test methods.
- Support supplier quality activities including supplier audits, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
- Assist with maintaining quality documentation such as inspection procedures, work instructions, and control plans.
- Assist in internal audits and support external audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits).
- Use measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify product quality.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in training programs and cross-functional quality initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned supporting the quality department to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.
