Title: Lab Technician
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Pay Range: $30-$35/hr on W2
Shift: 1st
Duration: 4 months.
Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
Formulation and synthesis of polymers
– Testing of adhesives.
– Evaluate, collect and record data.
– Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
– Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
– Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
– Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
Quals–
– 0-2-years of demonstrated laboratory experience
– Computer literate in Microsoft Office products – word, excel and PowerPoint.
-Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes / data
– Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English
– Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
– The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
– Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
