Job Description:
- Assist in performing set up and performance verification of fiber optic testing system.
- Configure product samples for environmental and mechanical testing.
- Perform optical measurements using manual or automated test systems.
- Program and operate environmental chambers and test equipment.
- Setup/perform and track/report progress of testing as directed.
- Document test results from optical fiber component testing as per documented procedures.
- Conduct basic data analysis.
- Draft test reports in the proper format and filed accordingly.
- Assist in conducting failure mode analysis.
- Perform basic troubleshooting/problem solving.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in laboratory environment.
- Ability to complete assignments accurately and at a pre-defined schedule.
- Detail oriented.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Written/verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on technical skills using test and measuring equipment.
Education:
• High School diploma minimum.
